Hutchinson took everything learned from decades of making road and mountain tires to create the Touareg. The foundation is a Tubeless Ready 127tpi casing from Fusion road tires, paired with a bead-to-bead Hardskin textile grid flat protection layer for a durable, cut-resistant tire with a responsive ride feel even at low pressure.
The Touareg improves upon Hutchinson’s famous Overide gravel tire when it comes to riding on rougher terrains. The knobs are more pronounced, with greater volume and wider dimensions, providing protection and grip on rugged terrain. The tire is designed to maintain strong performance upon tarmac for a smooth and comfortable ride. The versatility of the Touareg is in part thanks to the continued development in the architecture of its knobs, where smaller and more compact blocks contribute to comfort and performance on both rough terrain and smooth tarmac.
The 127 tpi casing is an optimal option for high performance, being flexible and light to help produce high rolling performance. The Hardskin textile grid reinforcement offers additional protection against sharp stones, rocks, and other hostile material found on rough gravel terrain, a reinforcement proven on XC Marathon races.
