We’re delighted to be growing our e-bike offer even further, with the introduction of Raleigh Motus to our extensive range. This is a reliable, polished machine, as you’d expect from a brand with Raleigh’s pedigree, so here’s what you need to know about this electric hybrid commuter.

Raleigh’s Motus brings together comfort, practicality and style in a great-value package that’s perfect for riding to work and weekend exploring. With a sturdy frame, generous saddle and slightly chunky tyres, this steed is spot on for urban riding and will hold its own nicely on cinder tracks and gentle trails. Motus is powered by Bosch Active Line technology, with the top spec model, the Motus Grand Tour, getting the Active Line Plus upgrade. We’re stocking the Tour and Grand Tour, which both have their battery integrated into the frame for a sleeker look, unlike the entry level bike, which features an external battery. Both the Tour and Grand Tour come with rear rack and mudguards, so they’re perfect for transporting your laptop and keeping clean on the way into work during the week, and carrying a picnic to your favourite rest stop on the weekend. Practical touches on both models also extend to front and rear lights and a stand.

Let’s break down the Tour and Grand Tour a little further….

Raleigh Motus Grand Tour Hub Gears

The Grand Tour enjoys the best specs in the Motus range, allowing you to go further and faster, thanks to the electric assist boosting pedal power by up to 270%. The super-quiet Active Line Plus motor means you can breeze along without the distracting hum of an engine. All this tech is powered by a hidden 500Wh battery, enough to get you from our Ashford store to our Folkestone store and back four times. If you’re looking to turn your ride into a proper workout, you can reduce the pedal assistance on the Intuvia Display, which also details speed, battery life and remaining range, making tracking your journey home an absolute doddle. Then there’s the powerful hydraulic disc brakes and an easy-to-use hub gear system, which really put you in control.

Raleigh Motus Tour Derailleur Gears

Like the Grand Tour, the Motus Tour is equipped with powerful disc brakes, reflective tyres, a bell, a secure wheel lock, and an adjustable handlebar stem. And with a derailleur gear system, navigating inclines is child’s play, especially with the pedal assist. Perfect for city cycling and long-haul rides, the Motus Tour’s silent Bosch Active Line motor provides up to 250% of your pedal power, you can fly up the hills or dial down the assist to give your legs and lungs a good workout. Whether it’s a sweat-free commute or a long day of cross-country exploring, this fully equipped electric bike makes getting around easy. Whatever the destination, the Motus Tour will make getting there a blast.

Our team’s verdict

“Raleigh is the bike manufacturer a lot of us grew up with but which has been largely overshadowed by global brands and cheaper bikes in recent years. Motus is a real return to form for Raleigh, with a strong spec for the price point, and has been really popular among the e-bike buying public. We’re really pleased to be adding these two bikes to our range and we think they’ll go down really well with Activ customers.”

Come and check out Motus Tour in store right now and we’re expecting stock of the Grand Tour in the next few weeks. Our team are here to answer your questions, so please drop in or call Ashford on 01233 424002or Folkestone on 01303 240110.
