Innovation is woven into the DNA of Cervélo. The Canadian Manufacturer has introduced groundbreaking frame geometries, featuring aero-shaped tubing and unique designs that not only enhance aerodynamics but also redefine the overall riding experience. Cervélo’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of design is evident in every curve and angle and that is especially true of their new E-bike, the Rouvida.

While the design brief didn’t actually say, ‘Don’t make it look like an e-bike,’ it was definitely at the forefront of our thoughts throughout the process.

The Rouvida is a high-performance e-bike designed by Cervélo with a focus on speed and versatility. Powered by the Fazua Ride60 motor, it delivers 60nM of torque and supports speeds up to 28mph, providing both on-road and off-road capabilities. The bike comes in two configurations: road and gravel, with interchangeable dropouts that significantly alter the bike’s geometry for a seamless transition between the two styles.

Not just a “flip chip” replaceable dropouts front and fundametally change the frame geometry

Cervélo prioritized maintaining a classic and refined look, ensuring that the addition of the motor and battery did not compromise the bike’s design-forward aesthetic. The Fazua Ride60 motor is praised for its smooth integration with pedaling input, providing a natural riding experience akin to an analog bike but with added power.

The design details of the Rouvida include a vertically oriented battery for improved aerodynamics, saving 25g in the wind tunnel. The Road Control system is strategically placed on the handlebar’s drop for easy power and assist control. An indicator panel on the top tube includes a USB charging port for lights or accessories.

The Rouvida is set to be available in the UK and European markets starting January 2024. Get in touch to discuss the Rouvida or any of Cervelo’s other analogue bikes.
