We are a Trek Partner store and Cervelo, Genesis, Merida and Argon 18 Dealer, carry a wide range of quality bikes and equipment, offer free bike fits, and in-store and home delivery options. This role is situated at our Folkestone site, in Sandgate Road<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Role Description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a full-time on-site role for a bicycle mechanic\/builder working alongside our team of mechanics. In this role you would be responsible for building, setup and pre-delivery inspection of bikes of various types, including road, mountain, eBikes, gravel, cyclocross, hybrids, and kids&#8217; bikes. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of customer bikes, dealing with workshop bookings, communicating with customers to assess their bike repair needs and provide recommendations for service and maintenance, and also sourcing of parts for repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience in Bicycle Repair and building<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of various Bicycle types and components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cytech or equivalent technical qualification (minimum of level 1)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic computer literacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good communicator with staff and customers, building strong relationships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to detail and ability to problem solve<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to work efficiently and independently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer service skills and ability to provide recommendations for bike maintenance and repair<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passion for cycling and eagerness to learn about new technologies and industry trends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Salary and Hours<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Competitive dependent upon experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday to Saturday 9am-5.30pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Holiday<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>28 days including Bank Holidays<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Competitive salary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bonus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pension<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cycle to Work Scheme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generous staff discount scheme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have a job vacancy for someone passionate about bikes to join our team of mechanics at our Ashford store.
