Marlin+ is a mid-powered hardtail e-bike which has trail-ready geometry but which retains the versatility that makes its analogue brother so popular. It has a new-for-2024 Bosch Active Line Plus motor producing 50Nm of torque and powered by a 400Wh battery fixed into the downtube (see below), which is good for an estimated two to four hours of assist. Although that\u2019s considered \u201cmid-powered\u201d, it\u2019s easily enough to help you up steep, lengthy climbs and to give your acceleration a hefty boost.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Marlin+ aims to fill the gap between adventurous hybrids like Trek Dual Sport and more powerful medium travel e-MTBs like Trek Powerfly. It\u2019s for you if you like spending time on the trails and appreciate the fast rolling 29er wheels and 120mm travel on the front fork but you want something that\u2019s simple and more affordable than Powerfly and the more capable – and more costly – full suspension e-bikes Rail and Fuel EXe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Marlin+ is lighter, easier to manoeuvre and more affordable than beefier e-bikes. It\u2019s all about keeping the experience simple and fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Marlin+ is launching with two models – Marlin+ 6 and 8. Both have a range of assist modes, including an \u201cauto\u201d setting that provides adaptive support that will increase assist when you hit a hill or headwind without you having to adjust the controller yourself.
