This month we announced the winner of our Trek Marlin competition where one lucky family got the chance to win 4 Marlin bikes and we’re so pleased to announce that Nina and her family were selected for the prize.

Nina, Wayne, Josh and Simon dropped into our Folkestone store last week to collect their winnings, and we couldn’t be more excited to gift them their shiny new wheels.

Mum, Nina, is already a keen rider and loves to get out on weekends exploring, so having new bikes to do this with is a big deal for her and her family. They were already looking for a new bike for their son, and even ended up upgrading the Marlin 4 to the Marlin 5 so he could get an even better spec.

Nina, who mentioned she’d never won anything before, commented ‘Wow! That’s what all four of us said just before we picked the bikes up. Simon was the most excited as he needed a new bike. We are all so happy. Thank you all for making us feel so welcomed, and of course for all the generosity from ACTIV Cycles.’

Her family are local and have already used ACTIV Cycles in the past for their purchases and servicing.

We hope you all enjoy your new bikes and look forward to seeing you riding around Kent soon.

We had over 950 entrants to this competition so huge thank you to everyone that entered. Keep your eyes peeled on our socials for upcoming competitions in the future – you could be claiming the next big prize!

About Marlin

The Trek Marlin is Trek’s best-selling mountain bike. This hardtail mountain bike is perfectly at home on weekend family rides and enjoying your local trails, whilst being able to double up as a bike for the daily commute to work. It’s versatile, practical and available from just £375 in the sale.

Trek Marlin

Marlin has a lightweight aluminum frame and medium travel suspension on the front fork for increased comfort over lumpy surfaces. Every model has disc brakes for confident stopping power and the tyres are knobbly enough to provide grip off-road but not so much that they detract from your pedalling effort on the tarmac.

The type of Marlin you choose will likely be dependent on the style of riding you want to do, and the budget you have available.

For more information, visit here or drop into our shop and our team can talk you through the different bikes available.
